My stereo is starting to get old. Seperate components; mixed brand. But it's been working perfectly fine until just the other day, when now my left speaker is more quiet than the right, when the 'balance' control is, well, balanced. First I re-cut the ends of the monster audio cable running from the speaker to the receiver, to make the wire connection more tidy. I hadn't done this since new, but even so, I don't think it made any difference. So yesterday I tried headphones and the effect was similar. Also, I've tried music from different sources to check if it was the recording. Nope.

    Help? Please? Is something dying?

Oh, and just answering 'yes' will not be deemed particularly helpful. Razz

Our amplifier controls which recorder we're recording on. If it's set to DVD it records on the DVD through HDMI and if it's on TV/CBL we're recording on the Tivo.

I think it's too complicated but hubby loves it.
