Can you be addicted to a person?

I wouldn't call the other guy an addiction, I would call him more an escape..If he is willing to be there as support for you when and if your marriage is finally over, then so be it..Whatever you do decide, or whatever happens, all the best..

i don't think the right word is addiction........i would tend to think of it as an obsession.

One of my friends spent alot of time talking to an overseas male friend..It was more of an escape then an obsession..Obsession would be when you continuously ring his place then hang up, or fly over there and start the stalking thing..haha..
I guess Bullseye, he makes you feel good about yourself, and when you don't hear from him that self doubt creeps in...I don't know...

Is there anything in particular that made you and mark grow apart? Which country is the other guy in? I hope Mark isn't the kind of guy to use his IT skills to go snooping through your history etc.
Best of luck and I hope it all results in a way which makes you happy. I once saw a weir documentary about people who had "Second Life" affairs and stuff. Very strange. From memory, the new relationships that continued on to RL didn't work out too well.
