Since this is the bullying thread now.
Do you remember those pencils that had multiple plastic nibs with lead in them and when one ran out you pulled it out, took it to the top and pushed it down so the next one would appear at the bottom?
When I was 7 a friend of mine's got stuck/jammed, it was the middle of winter and I tried to help him fix it. I took the pen to my lips and blew as hard as I could on the top attempting to push the thing out. Didn't work, I did achieve in creating a massive snot bubble from my nose and everyone in the whole class was disgusted.
I had a lot of snot that winter, more than any other time in my life. A few days later I was blowing my nose in class with a hanky and as I pulled it away, slightly opening it to examine its contents, refold and prepare a final wipe some other kid looked at my hanky and started yelling that I was being gross and showing everyone else my hanky.
Shortly after that I developed a name involving snot. I didn't like it. That was the worst I was ever picked on.
When I was 11 and in form 1 a form 2 came up to me and started trying to fight me. I fought him and won.
When I was in form 2 right at the end of the year a form 1 we had known since primary school came running up to us and threw something at us. A group of 5 of us then beat him up. Not very nice really. I remember part of it involved us grabbing him by his arms and legs and ramming him in to trees.
When I was in 6th form a 4th former came up to a friend of mine and started abusing him out of no where and trying to intimidate him with fakes. I snapped and went and socked him about 6 times in the head in quick succession before walking off. I should note that this was a huge Samoan 14 year old and he probably had about 20kg on me.
On the whole of it I was never really bullied. There was minor verbal shit but apart from the snotty story, none of it ever affected me. For the large part there are probably more incidents where I was a bully, but largely I was very placid.
I don't know, I guess it's just my group of friends and I were reasonably tight and part of our socialising involved ripping each other out all the time so we found it fun rather than sad. We also had practice so could often dish it out as well as we got it.
