My brother borrowed 4 grand off a friend of the family... she wasn't in a position to lend, she borrowed to do so.

My brother skipped out on the debt after paying $700.

He hasn't made a payment in 3 months, but hasn't been in a position to do so.

He now has a job on minimum wage, and she wants $100 a week (what she has been paying).

He is asking her to name the minimum payment he can make.

She is connected, and is saying that she may just get him beaten and say "fuck the money".

Do I warn him to pay up, or let him live his life and take it like a man?... either way.

Tell him to pay up but let him know what may be coming.

Without knowing more details, I'd pick the first option (and have done so).

This decision would assume that your brother would take the information well and not do something stupid like turn on the loaner.

Both sides are obviously worthless scum. Neither deserves to live.

I just like seeing people get beaten. Where people != me. And I hate giving helpful advice.

Smack him over the head and drag his ass whilst tied to the back of your car over some dirt rd till he gets the idea... then tell him that was tickle material compared to the world full of hurt he will get if he doesn't grow the fuck up and pay that money back!

To be honest, I didn't understand that either. A bash is some friendly encouragement to meet your commitments.

Oh well, that was what she was keen to do.
