Do you really care that much that cutting down palms is allegedly displacing orangutans?

The indigenous people who live there, do they have the right to survive and feed their families by using the resource that is widely available to them?

Are we Westerners allowed to progress no matter what damage to the environment we are causing, yet the populations of the Third world aren't allowed the same opportunity, yet we don;t hesitate to dump our toxic waste on them?

I do care... quite a bit actually. As to the indigenous people... do you really think they are getting much?

What the wildlife fund (and other greens) should do is provide for the indigenous people... maybe on a reward basis... X # of photos = $100 USD. Same for the Snow Leopard and other endangered species.

Or, even have them clear tracks through the forest for tourism.
