This amazingly talented woman is an inspiration and not just because of her beautiful singing voice, but for her courage as well. The courage that saw this 47 yr old unassuming woman stand up in front of 4000 jeering members of an audience. Not to mention the viewing public and take such a risk. And she showed them didn't she, all those people who laughed or expected some goofy comedy routine.
And honestly I am disappointed in myself, why is it that we are all so surprised?? Is exceptional talent only to be reserved for the beautiful people. Why are we still after hearing her, run down her presentation. Would her appearance make her more talented...no. I love her because she reminds us all that our prejudices and preconceived notions of beauty etc, are often ridiculous. And that talent is just that, talent, and anyone can surprise us.
Go Susan, you are an exceptionally talented singer and I hope your fulfill your dream of becoming a professional singer.
