Obviously you can't be any more specific. Never mind.

A supervisor? Haha, only if the supervisors you know make business decisions and follow market trends etc

Always amuses me how your industry is belittled Kissme.

The higher level positions are very complex and would be beyond most Uni grads ability.

I obviously missed something while I was doing the laundry. What is Kissme's industry?

It's irrelevant. Her point is valid without specifics.

    Oh no! Lol.

I met one of those when I was in hospital after my c-section, she told me I was stunting my son by bottle feeding him and I would never love him like she loved her child, because I hadn't 'birthed' him.

    I just laughed.

Rolling Eyes I think this is often made worse by some midwives/plunket nurses etc, I've come across more than one that has expressed that same opinion. The back up midwife I had with my first quite frankly said that she "felt sorry for the babies who were fed that shit by their mothers" and gushed over the fact I was (at that early stage) breastfeeding. I doubt she ever said anything of the sort to those formula-feeding mums themselves (hello massive complaint) but I can see how the bullshit superiority that some parents seem to exude would be encouraged by it. I guess people like feeling better than someone else, it just seems to get worse when there are kids to make comparisons of.

I was guessing... I couldnt remember where she worked.
And also you've worked mostly in retail. So it had to be an area you were familar with.

Retail sucks, but not particularly mentally taxing. Perhaps from a people management perspective?

I'm thinking more above store level management.

What I did (Store Manager) was only really taxing time wise. 40 hour a week salary and I often ended up working a 70 hour week with no paid overtime. Crap employer, not Glassons.

But for people like Regional and National Managers, Buyers, VM's, it's an underated field. The stuff these people do (is quite likely very close to what Kissme does) is mentally taxing and has a lot of responsibility weight with it als.

I guess I dont see it as taxing because it seems simple... buy and sell.

I work in Marketing in a regulated environment and retail seems like bliss. Very little variables.

Apart from the people management side of things.. hell hell hell.

Oh no, the true Crunchys boycott Plunket because of its support from Huggies and Heinz/Watties - makers of Karicare/Nuture formula and the obvious baby food.
But you should hear them all bitch about how Plunket undermines breastfeeding and supports formula blah blah fucking blah. Twisted Evil

There's no comparison of kids in those circles, it's all a comparison between themselves... - the less 'mainstream' in terms of parenting, the better. They look upon those crazy women who breastfeed school aged kids (except their kids don't go to school, of course) as some sort of gods...

let's get back to Job Titles

My old one was Business System Analyst

I had to fly to Aussie regularly - regularly enough that we had our departure cards pre-filled in and we just signed.

Anyway, the bit for occupation was a tad small, so I was a

    Bus Sys Anal

So much gold!! I didn't even fill it in that way - that's how I got it. More gold
