Israel doesn't allow tin cans into Gaza, because the tin can be melted down and made into weapons. They don't allow concrete and steel in, hampering reconstruction efforts, because it "might be used by terrorists", 4 out of 5 palestinians rely on foreign aid to survive, something like 50% of adult women there are anemic, with something like 23% of children being the same. blah blah blah. There is a humanitarian crisis there, but I don't really care one way or another.
