Just wondered what anaesthesia was used and how your recovery was.

Laughing If I thought for one second I'd get away with using alcohol for anaesthesia, I'd use Bourbon.

Never had one, but I do know depending on what the D n C is for, you can either have a local or a general anaesthetic...Hosp stay could be 24 hours depending, or could be a morning thing, and out in the afternoon...I'm only going on some of the oldies (ladies) I have taken care off...Some experienced back pain, cramps, although slight, not major...I guess everyone is different...

    All the best...

Yes. General anaesthetic, and had to stay over night, however that was due to a (very) minor complication during that they wanted to keep an eye on. If things had been as they first seemed, I would have gone home the same day.

Recovery was very quick, no real pain or discomfort, and I think I returned to work the day after I got home without any issue.

    Best of luck.

Thanks anjewel and Tara. That's pretty reassuring.

I was thinking of asking for an epidural or half sedation.

So, I rock on over to North Shore Hospital, drive around the car park for 10 fucking minutes before I seriously luck out and find a park, then sit for 30 minutes beyond my appointment time waiting for the gynochologist. Mad

Although, I have to say he was lovely and we had a great laugh. He would say stuff like 'don't mind me' while he was taking a sample from the inside of my uterus. Laughing

So, he saw a cyst, took the sample and the hospital will be in touch within 4 to 6 weeks at which point I can go back and have some more laughs with him. Wink

    All good fun. Razz
