Do you live in Auckland? Would you do a tarot reading for someone you have never met and might not necessarily like?

I have read a bit thru here etc about how your life is going and can well understand you would be seeking in all ways to know what your life will bring......trust yourself, believe in yourself, above all be kind to yourself.... and my personal cure ...A bubble bath, a vino and some chocolate......oh and a waterproof vibrator.

lol! You're a honey. I've started the day with a laugh. Who needs a bob when you've got an adjustable shower head? Laughing

Yes, I do have to trust myself. That's not so hard. It's knowing who else I can trust.

The reason I ask is because when my son was a barman his boss would ask this psychic to come in and do 'readings' for the patrons. He'd sling her a few dollars and a couple of drinks over the evening. She predicted a violent death for one of the patrons, (not specified) and was right. A guy was murdered and it turned into quite a media feature for quite a while.

Anyway, son asked her how easy the finances for my wedding would pan out for us. She said we wouldn't struggle too much, but that she saw me finding happiness with another man. Son didn't tell me until after the wedding. He did the right thing, waiting. I wouldn't have called off the wedding, but it would have worried me at the time because there were other 'omens' surfacing.

The power of suggestion is a very tricky thing in my opinion....To be told after your wedding that you will find happiness with someone else could (and Im not saying it did here) have planted the seeds of discontent re the man you married, that perhaps the human mind works to bring about the prediction subconsciously, and maybe if you didnt have this prediction ,(or security blanket if you will)of happiness with another man.... some of the issuses in your marriage may not have become so big. Just thinking out loud here tho.

I did a reading once where by it was obvious that the shit was going to hit the fan and this female friend was going to be betrayed bigtime , in all areas of her life from friendship to money to love , anyway I took this as a sign that as a close friend of hers I would need to be around to help pick up the pieces, however I told my friend that there weree some life changes coming and in the long run they would bring her much happiness....

she found out two or so months later that another close friend had been slleping with her partner for quite some time and whilst she was pregnant with his child ...double ouch.....she kicked him out , was financially screwed and heartbroken, however she picked herself up studied hard at uni and is now in a highpaying job with a lovely partner .....her ex man and close friend didnt work out and both of them are what I would consider losers these days.

Anyway my point being that with readings etc there is a huge responsibility to be careful of how or what you say so as not to encourage the person to will certain things to happen.

There is for example a card in Tarot that does denote a death...however it is not the "death" card which more suggests a letting go of old habits and ways.

If the card that does denote a physical death comes up in the reading do I tell the seeker that?....No I don't.

Some shit just needs to be dealt with as it happens IMO

I agree that readers do need to be careful of 'how' they say something as much as how much they tell a subject. It was probably a bad idea for my son to say anything to me, although I have been careful not to give that prediction too high a priority. It is, after all, only one person's reading of a situation.
Our relationship was on shaky ground before the wedding and, while it did improve for a long time afterwards, the old issues have all come out again and hubby has thus far refused to deal with them. All the feelings I had for him have gone. We went through counselling at about this time last year because I felt I owed him at least one last try, but it simply didn't work and it's time now for us both to move on.
Thanks so much for your insight thus far. Once all this is over, I'll ask you again about a reading. :o)
