I see that Zampuka has moved your thread to their 'holding area', which, if you didn't realise, is just a private Forum where certain Members can continue gossiping about your website.

I wonder how many of the Zampuka Members know about their ultra secret Forums???? I was foolish enough to join them when invited, and saw a lot of complaining and put downs of their Zampuka Members. Didn't take long for me to cancel my Membership there!

It is located at this link, but there's not point trying to Register, as you have to be approved. I wonder how long it stays there now that I have revealed their super-secret. Any Zampuka Members reading this who are not a Member of the secret site, be warned - you ARE being talked about, and not in a positive way!

that really is a shame. But not surprising given certain members reactions in that thread.

Displays the kind of maturity such a site holds.

Seriously though, a forum dedicated to being nasty about other Zambuka members?

hold concerns that what we said over there maybe be misconstrued to their existing members who missed it, so we feel it best to post a copy of that offending thread

Hello Zambuka members,

Due to the standards of moderation in SC, we have put together a new forum for lightly moderated discussion. This is not so much a social forum as it is a place for debate to be had without the restraints that SC moderation has given us.

Please come along and join. Hopefully we can get some great discussions up and running over the next week. We are looking for contributors from every angle. Contradiction of others opinions is welcome.

Even if you just join now and check in within a weeks time, we can make this a success.

Let everyone from SC know about this forum, as more members, means more points of view.

I thank player for allowing us to post this here as I'm sure he knows this in no way detracts from Zambuka.

If he appears as the main poster of the forum,and everything else is as we see it, it is a natural assumption that he is certainly involved in some way , and if your addy being posted here subjects our members to foul language and abuse for using your sites smilies...we do not wish to assist your sites promotion.
...To obtain our permission to post your site addy here , we need to know who we are dealing with now...as it is not just a harmless site addy in my opinion.

It is said in the intro that it is a lightly moderated forum. People are free to express themselves to a certain extent.

master5o1's only involvement is that of a poster. He is banned from SC and possibly bored, who are we to question what he does and how he posts.

We are working on the theory that if they want something badly enough , they will find it ...you will find that allowing foul language will limit your users/members to a very small minority...but with your forum running experience , i'm sure you would have come across that problem before..??

We must admit that we are very curious as to why its SO important that you know who we are??

We don't know who you are, only a screen identity??

We can't understand that, to be honest I joined here and suggested the site as I had always seen in SC that this was a place for mature discussion and that you may be open to more of the same, we are astounded that you can't appreciate what we are trying to achieve as much as we appreciated your own goals....

We had seen a need for open lightly moderated discussion away from SC but also trying to keep Zambuka and other spin offs safe for those who wanted it....its disappointing that you seem to be threatened by that, I can see no other reason for your extreme offense and reaction.

I would like us to try and function together and in harmony without any grief but I can guess that would be up to you...

Posting a sites addy by no way forces a member to join, nor does it mean that you are promoting it....after all there are many posts in here about other sites and threads, do you endorse them all??

And for the record that language that you took offense too and the freedom in which our members WILL be allowed to express themselves will be exactly what differentiates us from other sites........

Unless the last is true, its possible that there is more than one admin... while some groups are welcoming enough, some have been burnt in various ways by one or two trouble-causing couples that simply cannot behave in a civilised fashion....
Therefore, Tartarus, if you want to endear yourself to our membership, it would be a really good idea to disclose, or at least put in a nutshell who you are to put any of the burnt ones at ease.

hmmm, um we are just responding in kind since roderick has used we many times in his postings. And quite frankly Schizophrenic couldn't do any worse that some of the examples displayed in other forums..............can it?

And unfortunately for some, our aim isn't to be everyones friends and endear ourselves to anyone....our aim is to open free and open discussion for all....if that is what would appeal to you, anyone would be welcome, this is not a site where its all about friendships or groups. We don't offer any guarantees, people may get hurt or upset. We wont be inviting just a select few or even just our own online friends in SC, anyone who wishes to contribute and behave like an adult is welcome.

So to be honest, if you wish to join you are welcome too, if you choose not to join because you don't know who we are, that is also your choice.

The "They" I was refering was a figure of speech which I thought was apt as I dont know if they are a he or a she.

Yes , it is loading again now...ctd/TDO...i think you are spot on the button there Surfingranny...The concept is a good idea , but whether it will attract members is the problem...Shamira's site isn't exactly having to have waiting lists to be approved , and neither will this Tartarus...Treating everybody else as dummies though is not a smart move , but is typical of the suspected site host...and allowing foul language is just juvenile at best...and so offputting to most people that it shows a lack of experience and a contempt for other peoples feelings/standards...If that sort of language is allowed , and not moderated , I could let rip with a few volleys that may change 'their' thinking , but hopefully i have more self control and maturity than that...question is...If a lady posts a smilie or two , and the same member(master5o1) let's go with more foul language due to the fact he objects to smilies , where will Tartarus admin be then..??...what if the poster is ydekm..?? who is subljected to the foul language...is that going to be alright..??..or will posting smilies be banned..??

forgive me, but what exactly have we done wrong in here?? What has been posted that breaks any Zambuka rules?? We have tried to be nothing more than polite and offer a different choice.

We are unsure as to why the link didn't work last night, obviously there was an issue with our boards host. Do proboards never have any issues??

And just to clarify this and to be very clear.....we are not TDO/CTD

We are not going to get into an argument, it was never our intention.

We simply posted a thread, you modified that thread because you weren't welcomed in a manner that you saw fit. We have simply questioned that then reaffirmed our goal with Tartarus.

I do NOT believe that you were insulted by our postings politely or otherwise. And we will once again apologise for posting our sites addy without express permission. We did look for a rule about that and assumed since we couldn't find one no one would mind.

Obviously there are unspoken rules here that we weren't made aware of.

Once again we state Tartarus is here to be another venue for lightly moderated discussion or debate. We would hope that you respect what we are trying to achieve as we respect what you have tried to achieve. We would hope that if your preference is to not participate and be a part of tartarus, that you at least do not go out of your way to sabotage things for us. Certainly we would hope such behavior is beneath you all.

We are going to ask if you would mind claifying what those other things that we did wrong that yourself is aluding to in this post without seeking explicit permission among other things Tartarus , we would hate to repeat any offense.
