The Clerk can object only on the grounds that the question is not clear or does not have a yes-or-no answer.

Instead I'll give a bouquet to Bradford:

Bradford's Citizens Initiated Referenda (Wording of Questions) Amendment Bill would give the Clerk additional powers to rule out questions that were adjudged ambiguous, leading, misleading or complex.

Get a cop to write it, they're trained not to ask leading questions in their interview process.

Bradford's bill actually wouldn't cover this referendum question. Rather, the Clerk should be given the power to alter or turn down a question that contains some sort of pre-judgment as to what the answer should be. The question put forth in the referendum is actually fine but for one word: "Good". If you read the question with the word "good" removed, it would be a perfectly decent referendum, albeit one that ignores the real issue.
